New Calves for 2011

We have had our first two calves born for this year.  Dusty Rose gave us a polled red heifer by Blueprint, which is good as I had sold her heifer calf from last year.  KP Dame Ruby had a polled red bull sired by Blueprint, who could be double polled.  I hope we get the polling test soon so we can confirm the status of our calves.

Well the calves have arrived with the exception of a couple that are due a bit later.  24 calves have been  born up to the 18 September, 15 heifers and 9 bulls, but the great news is that 21 of the calves have been polled, with quite a few having the potential to be homozygous polled, as they have two polled parents.  There is a good mix of red and black calves, with many of the black calves carrying red anyway!

The last calf to be born was another polled heifer she is out of Kirup Park Dimity and by Kirup Park Envoy, she will be named Kirup Park Gingham.
